The conference
After the successful Crossmedia Storytelling conference of 2007, MEC organizes another media conference in Mechelen. The Community-Oriented media conference will be unique because of the focus on user communities and their media behavior. Strategies and techniques to reach audiences and audience groups with different media types will be highlighted. At the conference media experts will present their experiences with community-oriented initiatives and debate their views with a panel of media authorities. These panel members are all media practiced or researchers of different media related disciplines.
At the media conference trends and hypes will be confronted thus distinguishing the fundamental principles of production, development and distribution. The future of media will be audience- and consumer-oriented. The conference strives to demonstrate the intrinsic value of content and bring those outcomes to debate with all participants of the convention.
The conference is of interest to every person working in the media branch and for those who analyze and advise them.
